(8/16/01, 10 a.m. ET) -- Lit is set for a fall tour starting September 9 at the Gravity Games in Providence, and the road stint will take them across the U.S. through to a surprise show October 13 at an undisclosed location. Lit is taking Handsome Devil, signed to their Dirty Martini label, on tour with them, but the band won't join Lit until the September 12 date in Washington, D.C.
One of the cities Lit will visit is Denver, and the band's Jeremy and A.J. Popoff recalled for LAUNCH the first time they encountered the mile-high city.
"We did a show in Denver that was awesome. I mean, we love Denver, but it's a mile up," Jeremy said. "It's the mile-high city or whatever. That's pretty high, so they had this doctor come down and there was actually an oxygen tank on the side of the stage."
A.J. added, "We're not the only band that's had that, though. A lot of the band, especially the bands from California, I think, they do that for 'em because we're a bunch of sissies when it comes to the altitude."
Jeremy continued, "One time I went over to the side of the stage to switch guitars and my tech, he thought I was coming over for oxygen. He threw the mask up in my face and I was, like, 'Uh, all right.'"
