Keith Richards Already Missing John Lee Hooker

(6/26/01, 7 a.m. ET) -- The tributes to John Lee Hooker keep rolling in, and the latest to voice his sadness over the passing of the 83-year-old bluesman on Thursday (June 21) is Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
In a statement, Richards said, "John Lee: Last of the old time solo bluesmen. A guitar, a solid foot stomp, and a voice like life.
"I hope (in fact, I'm sure) that he went with his hat on and beauty in his arms.
"I miss him already."
Meanwhile, funeral arrangements have been announced for Hooker. There will be a visitation Wednesday (June 27) from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. PT at:
