Seal Helps Lakers Celebrate Championship

(11/3/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Seal helped the Los Angeles Lakers celebrate their NBA 2000 championship season on Wednesday night (November 1) with a pre-game performance of his new song, "This Could Be Heaven."
Before a sold-out crowd at the Staples Center, the singer took center-stage and belted out the ballad with the help of a pre-recorded backing track. The performance immediately followed the presentation of the diamond-laced championship rings to Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, and the rest of their teammates from last season.
Jeffrey Osborne also appeared, singing the national anthem.
"This Could Be Heaven" is from the upcoming comedy The Family Man, starring Nicholas Cage, Don Cheadle, and Tea Leoni.
