Ex-Verve Singer Richard Ashcroft Postpones North American Tour

(11/2/00, 4 p.m. ET) - An undisclosed illness has forced the postponement of the North American tour by former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft, which was slated to begin Saturday (November 4) in Chicago.
The tour, in support of his solo debut, Alone With Everybody, will instead kick off with a pair of shows in Chi-town on January 19-20, and wrap up in Vancouver on February 7. The 14-date trek will also include two-night stands in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles. In addition, a performance on the Late Show With David Letterman has been confirmed for the week of January 15.
The tour will be Ashcroft's first in North America since leaving the Verve in 1999.
