Sixpence None The Richer's Nash Appears On Delerium Album

(11/1/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Sixpence None The Richer's Leigh Nash will appear on Poem, the new album by ambient-pop players Delerium, which is due in stores from the Nettwerk America label on November 21. The singer appears on a track titled "Innocente." Singer-songwriter Matthew Sweet also appears on the album.
Sixpence None The Richer's own record, the still-untitled follow-up to their breakout self-titled debut from 1998, is due from the Squint Entertainment label some time after the first of the year. The effort has been completed for quite a while, but got caught up in delays. Nash says that she can't wait for the album to finally see the light of day.
She tells LAUNCH, "We've never been prouder of a project. We are really excited about this and really ready for it to come out," she says. "But there's just a lot of stuff behind the scenes that has to go on before we can release the record, and a lot of set-up time and things like that that need to be given consideration. But it will come out, Lord willing, eventually, and we can't wait to see what everybody thinks, 'cause we love it."
Meanwhile, another Delerium collaboration continues to make some noise. The song "Silence," written by and featuring vocals from Sarah McLachlan, is currently at Number Four on the U.K. singles chart. The song is from the group's last album, 1997's Karma, and revived on the recent soundtrack to the film Bounce.
