Moby Says Iraqi Problem Too Complicated To Have An Opinion

03/04/2003 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music

(3/4/03, 4 p.m. ET) -- Moby has put aside his stance as a pacifist when it comes to Iraq. That however doesn't mean he advocates war. The techno-rocker told LAUNCH that Iraq presents new problems with difficult answers.

"I mean, politically, the situation in Iraq, specifically, it's so complicated I'm almost afraid to have an opinion," Moby said. "I kind of feel like everyone involved on a geopolitical level in this situation is involved for disingenuous reasons. So, I'm a pacifist and I think war is a tragedy, but I don't trust the war mongers, I don't trust the pacifists, I don't trust anyone. I just think it's too complicated to have too strong of an opinion."

Moby recently came out to Roseland Ballroom in New York City to play a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" with Camp Freddy. The performance was in conjunction with the Patrick Lippert Awards and Rock The Vote. He's currently holed up in his home studio in New York City, writing tunes and enjoying his co-ownership TeaNY vegetarian restaurant.
