(12/12/97) - The Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah was arrested in Harlem Wednesday for carrying a .357 Magnum loaded with hollow-point bullets. Ghostface Killah, a.k.a. Dennis Coles, was taken into custody when he pulled over to assist a friend stopped by police. The friend's car had been stopped for going down a one-way street the wrong way. Police say Ghostface Killah jumped out of his car and started yelling at the patrol officers, asking for their shield numbers to make a complaint. Because GF was wearing a bullet-proof vest, it gave police probable cause to search his vehicle. The Magnum was found tucked in a nook behind the glove compartment. GF and two friends were charged with weapons possession, while GF was also charged with unlawful wearing of a bulletproof vest. GF becomes the third Wu-Tang Clan member in the last three months to run afoul of the law. In November, Ol' Dirty Bastard was charged with beating his wife and non-payment of child support. In October, Method Man was charged with assaulting a security guard. The band's multi-platinum Wu-Tang Forever sits at No. 167 on the Billboard charts, having sold over four million copies since its release earlier this year.
