Buckcherry's 'Time Bomb' Goes Off Tuesday

(3/26/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- Buckcherry returns to records stores Tuesday (March 27) with the release of its second album, Time Bomb. The effort, featuring first single "Ridin'," finds the Los Angeles rockers picking up where they left off on their self-titled debut from 1999 with some hard-hitting, gritty classic-rock style.
However, Buckcherry frontman Joshua Todd tells LAUNCH that there was much for the band to learn in the interim. "I think we found ourselves, you know, and that doesn't happen, you know, in a year. It takes a while for a band to find their identity and, you know, we were close it on our first record but now we're so 100 percent clearer. That's one thing about this record -- it's really a record we've always wanted to make. So, we're very proud of it in that sense."
Buckcherry will kick off a U.S. tour with Monster Magnet on April 15. The group will also hook up with AC/DC as the support act on that band's tour between May 1-9. Itineraries for both should be available in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the band helps kick off the release of Time Bomb with a series of in-store signing appearances throughout the week.
Here is the in-store itinerary (subject to change):
March 27 - Minneapolis, MN - Musicland, Mall Of America
March 28 - Downers Grove, IL - Best Buy
March 29 - Menlo Park, NJ - Compact Disc World
March 30 - Philadelphia, PA - Tower Records
