(4/27/00, 4 p.m. ET) - For the first time in the band's career, the Bloodhound Gang has agreed to release a toned-down version of one of its albums for Wal-Mart. Singer-songwriter Jimmy Pop told LAUNCH about the "family" version of Hooray For Boobies.

"Well there's no pictures, except the one of us as a band," Pop explained. "There's no lyrics in it and every dirty word or innuendo is beeped out. What happens is, most people get it as a collector's item, because they buy the real one and then they go out and say, 'Oh my God, this is funny.' Because it's called Hooray, and it got a picture of just the cow…a blown-up picture of the cow. It says, 'Hooray.'"

Guitarist Lupus Thunder said that sometimes fans end up buying the censored version first. "I've heard some kids that have bought it, like, I get angry e-mails every once in a while, like, 'Dude! What's up with your record? There are no swear words on it!? Everything's cut out.' And I'm like, 'Oh well you're stupid enough to have bought your records at Wal-Mart. Sorry. Can't help ya.' But then I always tell 'em what's going on and they say they'll go buy the real one."

Pop admitted, "It's funny, because it's such a big business that they actually give you the option, 'Do you want to put it in the stores or don't you.' And we never did. Our last two we never made one of those records for Wal-Mart and this time we said, 'Sure. Why not? Let's see what happens.'"
