(9/13/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- The members of Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF), devastated by Tuesday's (September 11) terror attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C., have done something to help the relief effort. The band donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross at last night's (September 13) show at the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater in Virginia. It was EWF's first concert since the tragedy occurred, as Tuesday's show with the reunited Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan was postponed. No rescheduling information has been released.
Another show date that's been changed is tomorrow (September 15)--EWF was set to play the Jones Beach Amphitheatre in Wantagh, New York, but park officials asked the group to push the concert back until Monday (September 17).
No changes have been made to the itinerary for concerts set for tonight (September 14) at the First Union Center in Philadelphia; Sunday (September 16) at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York; or Tuesday (September 18) at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.
