Lonestar Urges Blood Donation In Wake Of Tragedy

(9/13/01, 1 p.m. ET) -- Lonestar is using its new association with the American Red Cross as national spokespersons to urge citizens to help give the gift of life to those injured during the terrorist attacks on Tuesday (September 11).
"On this incredibly sad day we ask ourselves, ‘What can we do?’ We can make a donation to the American Red Cross by calling 1-800-HELP-NOW, donate blood and continue to pray for our nation," Lonestar members Richie McDonald, Dean Sams, Keech Rainwater, and Michael Britt said via a spokesperson. The group initially teamed up with the American Red Cross to promote hurricane safety.
