(7/24/01, 12 p.m. ET) -- Sisqo and the New Orleans-based Cash Money Millionaires are set to launch their own urban-wear clothing lines next month. The Inter Cotton Company, a New York-based clothing manufacturer, has agreed to pay each act $1.7 million to develop their own brands. The agreement was worked out by G.W. Licensing, and fans will be able to purchase the clothing at major departments stores such as Macy's and Bloomingdale's in September. The new lines will be unveiled on August 27 at the Magic Show, an urban-fashion extravaganza in Las Vegas.
In related news, reports have been circulating that B.G. of the Cash Money Millionaires recently suffered a non-fatal heroin overdose, but a representative for Cash Money Records denied the reports and maintained that the rapper is fine.
B.G. started recording at age of 12, releasing the semi-autobiographical True Story in 1992. That set was followed by 1997's Chopper City album, which sold more than 100,000 without any airplay or promotion and established B.G. as one of the up-and-coming voices of the South. In 1999, B.G. scored a huge hit with the single, "Bling Bling," which propelled his album Chopper City In The Ghetto to platinum status. In 2000, B.G. released his sixth album, Checkmate, which was certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies.
