Modern Rockers Bush Unveil Their 'Golden State'

(10/23/01, 7 a.m. ET) -- In stores today (October 23) is Golden State, the fourth studio effort by modern rock veterans Bush.
The British group recorded the album in Los Angeles--hence the reference to California in the title--and opted for a more live-band recording than in the past.
"The idea was that the band really wanted to get into the room and rehearse it up, didn't want to work in the studio for fear that maybe it would kind of edge away from [us] and go more experimental," says Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. "So, we kind of did a very traditional record."
Golden State includes the current single, "The People That We Love," which was originally titled "Speed Kills," but was renamed after the September 11 attacks.
