(9/7/01, 6 p.m. ET) -- Mudvayne's appearance at the Video Music Awards (VMAs) Thursday night (September 6) still has people talking. Members of the band appeared in bloody makeup with bullet holes in their heads. The band was on hand to accept the viewer-chosen MTV2 award for best video for "Dig."
Guitarist Gurrg shared his thoughts on the honor and the hoopla that is the VMAs. "The achievement is everything we've done to get here, not being here," he said. "This is an achievement for the fans. It's a fan-based award. It's not about us. It's about the kids that care and really love what we do."
Mudvayne is set for the Pledge Of Allegiance tour, which starts September 14 in Rosemont, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Headliners include Slipknot and System Of A Down.
