Marvelous 3 Recruits Lit And Buckcherry Members For New Album

(6/23/00, 1 p.m. ET) - Marvelous 3 has finished recording a follow-up to 1998's Hey Album! The new set is called Ready, Sex, Go and features appearances by some of their new friends.

"We actually had some great cameos on the record, because we've gotten a chance to actually befriend a lot of cool people on the road last year that actually became fans of the band and likewise," guitarist-singer Butch Walker told LAUNCH. "So, we asked some of the guys in Lit to come play on the record. We asked some of the guys in Buckcherry to come play on the record. We asked some of the guys in Beck's band to come play -- all these people who are fans of the band -- and we would just be delighted and honored that they would be on the record in the first place."

Walker added that the collaborative door was left wide open. "We've got some cool things going: cameo guitar solos, background vocals, pianos, just some freaky instruments and I can't leave out the big gang vocals. A lot of the all-stars of Atlanta came in to sing on it, so it's going to be pretty cool." Members of Lit appear on the new Marvelous 3 song titled "Get Over." The first single will be "Sugar Buzz," and other songs on the album include "Little Head," "Grant Park," "Radio Tokyo," "Better Off Alone," and "Cold As Hell."
