Powerman 5000's Spider One Gets Black Eye From Pantera Singer

(6/22/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Pantera singer Phil Anselmo got Powerman 5000 singer Spider One good when the two were horsing around on their European tour late last month.
On Powerman's website (5000volt.com) Spider One told fans that his wounds are healing after a run-in with Anselmo. "I got punched in the eye by Phil from Pantera one day. I got a black eye," he wrote. "That was pretty much the big story. It was at a Pantera meet-and-greet. Phil's all into boxing. . .a drinker. . .a big guy -- so he started throwing a few jabs at me jokingly. I retaliated a little bit, maybe slipped one in there. I think he heard some bells go off in his head or something. He ended up getting me a good one in the eye, and for about five days I had a nice black eye. That was good. It brought us together. Then we were like best friends . . . "
Powerman 5000 will embark on the Summer Sanitarium tour with Kid Rock, Metallica, and Korn on June 30 in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
