(3/13/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Texas guitar virtuoso Ian Moore returns Tuesday (March 14) with his fourth album, And All The Colors..., from Koch Records. Moore may be best known for the bluesy rock of his earlier days, but with And All The Colors... he tackles a variety of American styles, and not just on guitar but also violin, sitar, and bouzouki.

However, according to Moore, a musical departure it is not. He tells LAUNCH that he's been exploring different sounds through much of his career: "It wasn't a jump to me," he said. "I think it's very similar to my second record; it's just more fully realized. It's the same direction that I was going for on Modernday Folklore and just very eclectic -- a number of different American musics. That's kind of what I've always been about and the people that have been seeing me consistently throughout the years know that. People who maybe see me once every two years probably don't know as much of what I'm trying to do and what I'm interested in. So, when I made this record, it was a real natural thing for me. Being in the studio, that part of it was great and fun -- real easy."

Moore will celebrate his new release Tuesday with an in-store appearance at a local record store in his hometown of Austin, Texas. Live dates in the Midwest and the South will follow.
