Soap Star Bobbie Eakes Impressed With Collin Raye's Acting Abilities

(6/20/00, 10 a.m. ET) - If Collin Raye's new duet partner, Bobbie Eakes, looks familiar, it may be because she's played the role of Macy Alexander on the popular CBS soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful for the past 11 years. The actress/singer is currently working on a solo project, but in the meantime she's paired up with Collin for his soon-to-be-released single, "Tired Of Loving This Way." The new video for the duet will begin airing on CMT tomorrow (June 21) at 10 a.m. ET.

LAUNCH recently spoke with Eakes about the video. "We shot it on location at the Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, outdoors, in the middle of the night," she said. "We shot until 4:30, 5 in the morning -- in fact, all my close-ups were done at 4:30 in the morning, but you know what? The way they lit it you can't tell. Jon Small directed and he did such a great job. It's a beautiful video. Collin's performance is really intense. He's a great singer, he's a great actor. He really acts circles around me in the video -- I mean, I'm supposed to be the actress."

"Tired Of Loving This Way," will be released to radio on July 10.
