(9/28/01, 1 p.m. ET) - Acclaimed rockers the Dandy Warhols have entered the studio to begin work on the follow-up to their 2000 effort, Thirteen Tales For Urban Bohemia. The new album, which is the Portland, Oregon group's third for Capitol Records, is tentatively scheduled to arrive in stores next spring.
Meanwhile, the Dandys are doing their best to get as much mileage out of their existing catalog, having licensed songs for several television shows recently, among them the new FOX comedy Undeclared. The show uses the group's "Solid" as its title song. Warhols tunes have also been heard in the past on Sex And The City, Ed, Six Feet Under, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Roswell.
The band's "Bohemian Like You" will soon be heard overseas as part of a year-long advertising campaign by European telecommunications giant Vodaphone.
