(8/17/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Naomi Judd of the famed country duo The Judds is splitting with her husband of 11 years, Larry Strickland. Naomi filed for divorce in Tennessee's Williamson County Chancery Court on Monday (August 14) citing adultery, inappropriate marital conduct, and irreconcilable differences.

The singer's attorney, Rose Palermo, released a statement regarding the couple's split, which read, "As you might expect, this is a deeply painful and unsettling time for Naomi. We hope her desire for privacy in this matter can be respected. She has no comment."

Strickland has served as manager for Naomi's daughter, Wynonna, for the last four years. He also co-managed the Judds during their 2000 Power To Change reunion tour, and handled many of Naomi's non-musical endeavors.
