(6/15/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- Lisa Loeb joined boyfriend Dweezil Zappa, Van Halen's Michael Anthony, rapper Coolio, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, and others at the opening of the "Cars & Guitars Of Rock 'N' Roll" exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles Thursday (June 14).
As the name implies, the exhibit showcases both classic and custom cars and famed guitars of some of the bigger names in pop music. Cars featured include Madonna's limo featured in her "Music" video, Elton John's 1949 Delahaye, and Elvis Presley's 1976 Cadillac El Dorado. Guitars on display include B.B. King's famed "Lucille," Jimi Hendrix's 1968 Fender Stratocaster, and Bob Dylan's Martin D-28 acoustic.
Slightly embarrassed, Loeb admits to LAUNCH that she drives a Lexus, because "it's safe and I'm not gonna get skin cancer." Still, the singer-songwriter, known for the 1994 hit "Stay," says she definitely has her eye on some classics.
"I have a bunch of dream cars that I want. There's one on the block that I really want," she says "They keep parking it outside, it's this old Cadillac that's this pink Cadillac. I'm obsessed with pink Cadillacs. It would match my refrigerator that I just got painted pink."
Others attending included guitar hero Steve Vai, current Kiss drummer Eric Singer, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Jan & Dean's Dean Torrence, and countless actors young and old, ranging from Ethan Hawke to Loni Anderson and Larry Hagman.
"Cars & Guitars Of Rock 'N' Roll" runs through December 31.
