(9/22/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Montgomery Gentry are the latest country stars to help promote the Nashville Predators. The duo recently participated in filming a two-and-a-half-minute feature spot for the ice hockey team, along with Andy Delmore, defenseman of the Predators.
One scene in the spot was shot in a local Nashville club, Lonnie's Western Room of world-famous Printer's Alley. In the scene, Delmore sings the Montgomery Gentry hit single "My Town" karaoke-style with the duo sitting in the crowd heckling him. In the next scene, filmed at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, Delmore gets payback as the three men take to the ice with the two singers bundled up in goalie gear, taking shots from the hockey player.
"I don't know how these guys do it," says Troy Gentry. "It took us forever to get all this garb on and it's hot as hell. I don't see how they move, much less skate and take shots." Eddie Montgomery adds, "I think I surprised them--I actually can move around on skates. I skated better than Andy sang--that's for sure."
The feature will air on Fox Sports Net and in the arena prior to games.
