(9/19/02, 5 p.m. ET) -- Retailers such as Best Buy, Tower Records, and others are saying that they expect big things from Disturbed's Believe, which was released on Tuesday (September 17). The album is the follow-up to the band's debut, The Sickness, which now stands at double platinum for sales of 2 million as certified by the Recording Industry Association of America.
"I've only learned that the world is that much more perverse and that much more sickly," singer-songwriter David Draiman told LAUNCH when asked about his perspective since the release of The Sickness.
He added, "Once you can maintain a certain level of clarity and you get to see the world from a different perspective than you ever had in your life, which the success of the last record has enabled us to do. People always would come to me and say, 'Well what are you going to write about on this album? Is there anything left to be angry about?' Not everything is about anger. Not everything on the first record is about anger, and not everything on this record is about anger, but believe me there's plenty to still be angry about."
The first single from Believe, "Prayer," is currently Number Four on the Billboard Modern Rock chart.
