(2/1/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- Rob Zombie is set to promote his new film at the Comic Book And Pop Culture Convention this weekend, which runs Friday (January 31) through Sunday (February 2). The event takes place at the Pasadena Center in California.
Zombie notes that his foray into film isn't just a one-off endeavor. The March release of House Of 1000 Corpses will hopefully solidify him as a legitimate movie writer/director, and the horror-rocker told us the flick is comparable to a band's first demo tape.
"This is my first movie so I feel that this is just like a tiny step into a new world," Zombie told LAUNCH. "To me this is like starting a band and you record your first little demo tape. There's a long way to go."
The guest of honor at the convention is comic legend Stan Lee. Others in attendance include X Men artist Amanda Conner, House Of The Dead video game and movie Executive Producer Mark Altman, and production designer of Blade 2 Tim Bradstreet.
Rob Zombie's House Of 1000 Corpses is set to hit theaters March 28.
