Bjork Robbed At Home In London

(9/3/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Icelandic singer Bjork was robbed in her London home on Friday (August 30) as she slept. Thieves allegedly made off with expensive recording equipment.
The 36-year-old singer, who's pregnant, was asleep with her American boyfriend Matthew Barney when the burglars broke into her West London flat in the upscale Maida Vale area.
"I don't want to make any comment about the burglary. It's a private matter," Bjork told the Evening Standard. While the detectives of Scotland Yard confirmed the investigation of a burglary in area, no further details were given.
Bjork is due to give birth to her second child later this month and she releases a Greatest Hits collection on October 8, featuring 15 tracks selected by voting fans. The same day, she also issues the six-CD boxed set, Family Tree, which includes a disc of her favorites, with rarities and previously unreleased tracks featured on the other five CDs.
