(4/25/00, 10 a.m. ET) - The Bloodhound Gang's new album Hooray For Boobies is moving towards platinum status in the U.S., aided by the catchy single "The Bad Touch" and its clever lyrics, "You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals, so let's do it like they do it on the Discovery channel." The album and the single are already huge smashes overseas, and the album is now double platinum in Germany.

Songwriter Jimmy Pop isn't so impressed, however -- and he told LAUNCH about the things that really impress him. "Nokia phones has a website with all the different rings that you can get on their phones, and they have the 'Bad Touch' ring. That for me is huge," he said. "The fact that we beat Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias. Our three singles all came out the same day in Spain, we were Number One. That was pretty big. It's the weird things that I think are pretty exciting."

Guitarist Lupus Thunder noted, "We even knocked Celine Dion off the charts in Germany," and Pop added, "That's big."

"The Bad Touch" currently resides at Number 7 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, and is quickly rising up the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Hooray For Boobies is perched at Number 17 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The Bloodhound Gang is currently on a headline tour that will wind down May 27 in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
