Rah Digga Juggles Three Careers
04/24/2000 3:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(4/24/00, 3 p.m. ET) - Rah Digga has recorded with everyone from the Fugees and Busta Rhymes to the Outsidaz and the Flipmode Squad, so the New Jersey artist knows about catering to different people's tastes. A full-fledged member of both the Outsidaz and the Busta Rhymes-led Flipmode Squad, Rah Digga also knows how to make her mark in a group setting. Digga, who recently released her debut solo album, told LAUNCH that she juggles three careers. "Busta understood that I repped the Outsidaz," she said. "Like, you know, the Outsidaz and the Flipmode is cool. Everybody in the Flipmode acknowledges that I'm an Outsidaz. And all of my fans who know Rah Digga from once upon a time, still know me as an Outsidaz, so it's, like, I kinda am juggling three careers. I got a Rah Digga Dirty Harriet solo career, I got the Flipmode posse career, I got the Outsidaz posse career. Everything's just fall into place." Dirty Harriet was released on April 4 and features guest vocals from Busta Rhymes, Eve, and others. She also appears on the Hip-Hop For Respect project with Sporty Thievz, Common, Mos Def, and others. That album is scheduled for release tomorrow (April 25). -- Soren Baker, Los Angeles
