Puddle Of Mudd Seeing 'Blurry' On Charts

(1/25/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Puddle Of Mudd's latest single, "Blurry," is proving a hit beyond the group's core rock fan base. As of this month, the song can be found on the upper half of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and on the Adult Top 40 chart.
This, combined with its place at Number One on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and at Number Two on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart makes "Blurry" a more successful follow-up to "Control," the first single from Puddle's 2001 debut album, Come Clean.
Puddle frontman Wes Scantlin tells LAUNCH that the song comes from the most emotional of places. "It's a really great song, a very personal, emotional song for me that I wrote about my son and how much I miss him. It's also written about missing the ones you love the most and trying to find somebody that you can maybe possibly have fill that gap, which is completely impossible, but, you know, trying to find someone you can be compatible with."

Puddle Of Mudd serves at the opening act for Staind's latest round of European dates, which kicks off in Nottingham, England on January 30.
