(4/15/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- Lollapalooza 2003 organizer Perry Farrell said that there's more to this year's tour than just the stellar talent line-up of Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Queens Of The Stone Age, Jurassic 5, Incubus, and others. There's a revolutionary technological component to this year's festival--and Farrell urges people to bring their cell phones for some neat social gaming.
"We are inviting people to bring cell phones and be part of our interactive gaming component for a chance to win big prizes for things like getting backstage or sitting on the side of the stage for acts, or winning, I don't know, it could be music, or it could be an X-box," Farrell said. "So we're hoping to make a lot of progress with interactivity bringing that alongside the music."
The Lollapalooza tour starts June 3 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It ends at Vernon Downs in Vernon, New York on August 30. Others slated for the festival include The Donnas, A Perfect Circle, and Cold.
