112 Hits Number One

(3/8/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- Atlanta-based quartet 112's latest hit, "It's Over Now," has reached Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales chart. The group is set to release its third album, Part III, on March 20. 112 frontman Slim recently shared why the success of "It's Over Now" is especially gratifying: "The name of the first single, is called "It's Over Now." It's written by 112. It's produced by Pretty D--Mr. Daron Jones over here. He's part of the group 112 and, you know, we're just happy to be putting out something that's blowing up so hot."
112's two previous offerings, 1996's 112 and 1998's Room 112, have both been certified platinum, with the latter reaching double-platinum status for sales of 2 million copies.
