Edwin McCain, Gov't Mule Feel The 'Wintertime Blues'

(11/16/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Edwin McCain, Gov't Mule, and the Derek Trucks Band are among the artists set to appear on Wintertime Blues -- The Benefit Concert, a new live album to aid Habitat For Humanity, due from Evil Teen Records on November 28.
Others featured on the two-disc collection include Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed, the Allman Brothers Band's Jimmy Herring, Susan Tedeschi, Little Milton, and Colonel Bruce Hampton.
The album is the brainchild of Gov't Mule's Warren Haynes, who gathered the artists together for his 11th Annual Christmas Jam last December. Performances include McCain and Haynes doing McCain's "I'll Be," Trucks taking on Bob Marley's "Rastaman Chant," and Tedeschi covering the John Prine classic "Angel From Montgomery."
