Meat Loaf, Hootie & The Blowfish, Backstreet Boys & Tommy Lee Hit Fairway

(3/11/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- Meat Loaf, Hootie & the Blowfish, Tommy Lee, and Bruce Springsteen E-Street Band saxophone player Clarence Clemons were among the participants scheduled for the annual Fairway To Heaven Golf Tournament, which wraps up today (March 11) at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida.
Other musicians scheduled to be involved in the event, which will be aired on VH1 on April 27, include Poison's Bret Michaels, Bon Jovi's Tico Torres, Motley Crue's Vince Neil, Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean and Brian Littrell, Queensryche's Geoff Tate and Michael Wilton, Lisa Loeb, Dweezil Zappa, and Branford Marsalis.
Other celebrities also scheduled to play included Judd Nelson, former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor, Kyle Maclachan, and Eddie Cibrian. Golfers set to participate included John Cook, John Daly, Craig Stadler, Peter Jacobsen, and others.
Proceeds from the event go to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, which aims to preserve and establish music education in public schools across the country.
