Uncle Kracker Album Due In April

(1/14/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Uncle Kracker has completed recording and will now turn his attention to mixing his next album, the follow-up to his platinum-selling debut, Double Wide, with an eye toward an April release.
Kracker explains the album's direction to LAUNCH. "I did more of a live thing this time, you know, I didn't mess too much with drum loops and stuff like that. I did more live stuff and obviously it's still melodic, it's more melodic than the last record," he says.
The album has no official title yet, but Kracker says there's a current favorite. "No Stranger To Shame, that's the working title. I don't know if it will stick--I don't think my wife likes that too much--but that's what we're rolling with," he says.
Double Wide, released in 2000, featured the smash hit single, "Follow Me."
