Diamond Rio's Dana Williams At Home Resting
03/03/2001 10:00 AM, Yahoo! Music Brett Atwood
(3/3/01, 10 a.m. ET) -- Diamond Rio bass player Dana Williams did not perform the group's new Number One song, "One More Day," with his bandmates on the RCA boat ride during Country Radio Seminar on Thursday (March 1). Lead singer Marty Roe explained Williams's absence by asking everyone to pray for the musician, who was feeling "under the weather." Roe told the crowd of radio programmers that Williams's heart wasn't beating the way it should and that his friend was at home taking it easy.
Meanwhile, Rio's drummer Brian Prout reported that his fiance, Congresswoman Mary Bono, was back to work and playing some tennis after her recent surgery. The former wife of Sonny Bono is recovering from a hysterectomy.
Diamond Rio will perform on Live! With Regis & Kelly on Wednesday (March 7). At press time, there is no word as to whether or not Williams will be performing with the band.
