Fastball Offers Rarities To Aussie Fans

(9/6/00, 6 p.m. ET) - Fastball has given fans in Australia an EP of rarities including live versions of two of its biggest hits and a pair of covers of songs by '80 cult heroes. The You're An Ocean EP, named for the first single off the upcoming album The Harsh Light Of Day, captures the Austin, Texas, trio performing "The Way" and "Outta My Head" live from Melbourne, Australia, during its last tour there. The collection also features versions of the Replacements' "Androgynous" and the Hoodoo Gurus' "Like Wow-Wipeout." "You're An Ocean" is also included. It is due out Down Under on October 2. Meanwhile, look for Fastball to perform "You're An Ocean" in this country in the coming weeks. The group appears on VH1's The List on September 8 and Late Night With Conan O'Brien on September 15.
