(11/10/00, 6 p.m. ET) - Big Punisher's second posthumous album, Endangered Species, is scheduled for a February 6 release. The rapper, who died February 7 of heart failure, would have been 29 today (November 10).
Endangered Species contains Pun rapping with a number of other artists, as well as previously unreleased solo songs.
Earlier this year, Cuban Link released a tribute to Punisher, "Flowers For The Dead." Link and Punisher were members of the hip-hop supergroup Terror Squad, which also included Punisher's mentor, Fat Joe.
Punisher's second album, Yeeeah Baby, was released about two months after his death. It featured collaborations with a number of high-profile hip-hop stars. Drag-On and Fat Joe appeared on "You Was Wrong," while M.O.P. guested on "New York Giants."
Big Pun, as he was also known, was nominated for a Grammy in the 1999 best rap album category for his debut album, Capital Punishment, and was the first solo Latino rapper to have a platinum album.
