Motorhead Members Arrested In Denver
06/12/2000 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(6/12/00, 4 p.m. ET) - Mikkey Dee of Motorhead and several members of the band's crew were arrested Friday morning (June 9) in a downtown Denver Holiday Inn after allegedly yelling and pounding on the door of a hotel guest's room, mistakenly thinking it was their own. The guest called security and the group was held until police arrived. Denver Downtown Holiday Inn manager Terry Mariano told LAUNCH what he knew about the incident. "There were two gentlemen fighting on seventh floor, and police came and broke it up. They arrested one band member and a young lady and later arrested two more members of the band." Mariano added, "Officers noted that there has been a previous arrest warrant for the young lady." Reports indicated that the incident resulted from the band member's intoxication. Motorhead's managment gave LAUNCH a "no comment" when asked about the incident. Calls to Denver police weren't returned at press time. -- Darren Davis, New York
