Wynonna Judd was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Thursday (November 13) morning in Nashville. Judd was stopped while speeding around 1 a.m. CT. The arresting officer detected the odor of alcohol and asked the singer to submit to a breathalyzer test, which she took. Judd registered a point-one seven-five, which is more than twice the legal limit. She appeared in Davidson County, Tennessee night court, where she posted a $500 bond and was released.
Judd released her latest album, What The World Needs Now Is Love, in August of this year.
The singer is scheduled to play a string of dates in December.
It's worth noting that Wynonna's mother Naomi Judd is a member of the 2003-2005 Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) National Board of Advisors. She also served as the official chairwoman of M.A.D.D.'s "Tie One On For Safety" holiday ribbon campaign in 1998.
