(8/15/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- Mystikal, who was charged with extortion and rape last month, has addressed his recent legal woes in a song called "P--sy Crook," a spokesperson for the artist confirms.
Mystikal performed the song Sunday (August 11) at the Summer Jam 2002 event in Irvine, California hosted by Los Angeles radio station KKBT (The Beat).
A spokesperson for Mystikal was unable to confirm the lyrics at press time. However, a show attendant said that Mystikal is "telling his story about what happened, street style," in the song.
On July 4, a 40-year-old woman employed by Mystikal filed charges against the rapper, claiming aggravated rape and extortion. The woman, who allegedly cashed unauthorized checks from Mystikal's account, accuses Mystikal of threatening to turn her into the police unless she had sex with him.
Two of Mystikal's associates were also accused of participating in the rape that allegedly took place at Mystikal's home. Baton Rouge police reportedly found a videotape on July 9 in a safe at Mystikal's home that chronicled the assault.
The woman reportedly signed an affidavit stating that she had consensual sex with the men, but later changed her mind.
Mystikal could face a life sentence if found guilty of the aggravated rape charges, and 15 years in jail for extortion.
A spokesperson for Mystikal says that he maintains his innocence.
