Counting Crows' Duritz Guests On Peter Stuart Album
04/10/2002 10:00 AM, Yahoo! Music Mark Armstrong
(4/10/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz can be found singing background vocals on Propeller, the debut solo album by former Dog's Eye View frontman Peter Stuart. The release is currently available through Stuart's own website (peterstuart.com).
This is not the first time Duritz has collaborated with Stuart, perhaps best known for the 1996 hit "Everything Falls Apart." Stuart served as a backing vocalist for the Crows while the band toured for its debut album, August And Everything After, in 1994.
Propeller also features guest appearances from **Moon Zappa** and X drummer D.J. Bonebrake. "This record is by far my favorite of the records I've made," Stuart says. "I've realized that there's nothing I'd rather be doing than writing songs, recording them, and going out to play them for people."
The Crows, meanwhile, are planning a July release for the still-untitled follow-up to their 1999 album, This Desert Life.
