A President To Vote For Vice President For President
10/27/2000 1:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(10/27/00, 1 p.m. ET) - At least one president will be voting for a vice president for president in the upcoming presidential election. No, not Bill Clinton--although he's surely voting for his right-hand man Al Gore--but Dave Dederer, bassist in the band the Presidents Of The United States Of America.
Dederer tells LAUNCH that, for him, it's a no-brainer. "Go Gore!," he says. "Far Lefties like myself, just ignore Nader, he's not actually running. Don't vote for him. It's a simple election. Gore/Leiberman, it's an easy choice."
Drummer Jason Finn adds, "That's exactly the strategy I was planning to follow."
The Presidents recently regrouped to release their third album, Freaked Out And Small, on the Music Blitz label in September. The Seattle trio is perhaps best known for the mid-'90s hits "Lump," and "Peaches."
