Disturbed To Do In-Stores, Draiman Calls Fame 'Surreal'

(9/13/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Disturbed is set to perform a few in-stores to coincide with the release of its new album, Believe, which is due Tuesday (September 17). The band will be in Los Angeles at Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard to sign copies on Monday night (September 16). Wristbands will be handed out at 10 a.m. PT to those fans who pre-order the album. The event starts at 10 p.m. PT.
Disturbed also has in-stores scheduled for its hometown of Chicago on Thursday(September 19) at Rolling Stones and in New York City on September 21 at Tower Records in Greenwich Village.
Disturbed has a good fan base to build on thanks to its debut, The Sickness. Singer David Draiman told LAUNCH he thinks the band's newfound fame is surreal. "I was just shopping the other day and all of the sudden I hear in the distance, 'David, David!' And before I know it there's two kids running up to me, followed by another five, followed by another 10, and they've all got pens and pads and are out of breath and smiling and starry-eyed. And I'm like, 'Oh my God.'"
Disturbed is set to tour with Korn this fall starting October 8 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
