Carlos Santana, P.O.D. To Perform At Latin Grammy Awards

(9/13/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- Carlos Santana and rap-metal group P.O.D. will team up for a performance at the third annual Latin Grammy Awards, taking place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on September 18. What the pair will perform remains a mystery, but does add credence to the recent rumor that the San Diego band will appear on Santana's next album, Shaman, due October 15 from Arista Records. Further information was unavailable from either of the acts' publicists at press time.

Brazilian artists Ivan Lins and Bossacucanova will also perform on the show. Previously announced performers include Marc Anthony, Shakira, Juanes with Nelly Furtado, Thalia, and Carlos Vives. Presenters include *NSYNC's Justin Timberlake, Nick Carter, Daisy Fuentes, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The third annual Latin Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from Hollywood on CBS. Gloria Estefan and Jimmy Smits host.
