(1/28/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Chumbawamba recently released a fan-club-only song about British Prime Minister Tony Blair and continued its assault on the leader. The band claims that Blair has reneged on many of his promises and therefore wrote the song "Tony Blair," the lyrics of which read: "You said that you'd be true/I believed you like a fool/I should have seen it in your eyes."

This isn't the band's first attack on Blair. The band slammed him on its last album with the song "Amnesia." Chumbawamba members Dunstan Bruce and Jude Abbott told LAUNCH that there has not been much of a political change in the U.K. since Blair and his Labour party took office.

"Labour is like the Tory party with a big, benevolent cheesy grin on its face, really," Bruce said.

"So it's about that," Abott added. "It's about people being duped into thinking that things are going to change or forgetting that they're not going to."

Chumbawamba's forthcoming album is titled WYSIWYG, and it will be released April 11. The collective has decided that "She's Got All The Friends" will be the first single from the album, and it should hit the airwaves in late February.
