(2/12/99, 1 p.m. PST) - Following the October 1998 release of Lift, Love And Rockets has announced the dates for the first leg of a return trip to the United States, beginning March 2 in Detroit. As expected, the supporting slot on the tour will be filled by Orgy (LAUNCH, 1/13), whose industrial remake of New Order's "Blue Monday" should fit in nicely with L&R classics like "Kundalini Express." "We're very excited about the tour," Orgy's Amir Derakh said in a statement. "Love And Rockets is one of my favorite bands." Though band members Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins participated in a much-touted Bauhaus reunion tour in the U.S. last year with Peter Murphy, the dates will mark the first proper Love And Rockets tour since 1996.
