Frankie J Starts Tour

(10/25/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Frankie J begins his North American tour Saturday (October 25) in Puerto Rico. Frankie has gained notoriety behind his song "Don't Wanna Try" off the album What's A Man To Do?. Yet despite the success, the Southern California native told LAUNCH he hasn't changed: "I'm still the same old guy from San Diego, born in Mexico. To me, I just see myself as just a blessing. It's a blessing from God, I mean, he's been helping me do what I've always wanted to do, and he's helping me fulfill me dreams. And I don't see myself as a 'Hollywood' type of dude. Nah man, I think I'm still the same type of dude, I'm still the same kind of guy. You know, I'm just real humble with everybody. I haven't changed and I hope not to change."
Rapper Baby Bash is scheduled to open up for Frankie J during the tour.
