(8/13/02, 1 p.m. ET) -- Eric Clapton, Sugar Ray, Matthew Sweet, Van Dyke Parks, and In Bloom have been added to the bill for the upcoming Carl Wilson Benefit Concert. The show, set for October 6 at Royce Hall on the campus of UCLA, will be headlined by Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys founder and brother of the late Carl Wilson.

One day earlier (October 5), the Carl Wilson Foundation will hold its annual benefit walk in Santa Monica, California.

Tickets for the concert are available via Ticketmaster and at the UCLA Box Office, which can be reached at (310) 825-2101. In addition, gold and silver tickets can be purchased by calling (310) 364-4347 or by emailing BCRD@earthlink.net.

The Carl Wilson Foundation was established in honor of the Beach Boys guitarist, who died from cancer on February 6, 1998. The group's goal is to help fund cancer research and aid people suffering with the disease.

Each year since his death, the Carl Wilson Foundation has organized an annual benefit walk, beach party, and concert to raise money and awareness for cancer research and assistance to those suffering from the disease.

More acts will be announced in the coming weeks for the concert, which will take place at Royce Hall on the U.C.L.A. campus in Los Angeles. The walk is scheduled for October 5 in Santa Monica. Tickets for the concert go on sale July 1 at the U.C.L.A. box office, by phone at 310-825-2101, or via Ticketmaster.
