Tracy Byrd Gets Rejuvenated By Number One Country Success

(10/3/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Tracy Byrd's recent trip to the top of Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart with "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo" has given the country star a nice shot in the arm as he gets ready to begin work on his third album project for RCA Records
Byrd told LAUNCH, "I'm going in more excited than I've been in a while. The last two records I've went in with pretty much with not a whole lot of exciting things happening, and this one definitely is gonna change that. I mean, I'm gonna go in with a more positive outlook probably...And of course we're just now getting started listening to songs, but I've found a couple of great songs already, so we're gonna get started cutting here pretty soon."
At press time, there was no word yet on when Byrd's third album for RCA is expected in stores.
Meanwhile, the singer keeps a high profile on the road as he plays shows in Oregon and Washington state this week.
