Kurupt To Release New Album In June

Rapper Kurupt will release his new album, Death Row Presents Kurupt - Against The Grain, on June 29. The set will be the rapper's first release since rejoining Death Row Records, a label that he helped to make famous in the early '90s.
Death Row's founder and CEO Suge Knight, who is currently serving a jail sentence for a parole violation, explained the importance of the new album in a statement. He said, "This really is a historic recording for both Kurupt and Death Row Records. It's the first all-new album from a Death Row artist since 1996, and for Kurupt, it's a return the classic Dogg Pound sound. Longtime fans know that Kurupt and Death Row Records are synonymous with high-quality, hard-edged music. Death Row Presents Kurupt - Against The Grain further solidifies that reputation, fusing classic rap rhymes with cutting-edge sentiments."
Kurupt has released three solo sets, including: 1998's Kuruption, 1999's Tha Streetz Is A Mutha, and 2001's Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey.
