(10/31/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath, country music powerhouse Garth Brooks, hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas, and Latin-pop artist Thalia will all use their star-power to help sell Dr Pepper soft drinks in the coming months.
Brooks will kick off the campaign November 3 with a 30-second television commercial that finds him singing a new jingle for the soda. A second commercial set for early 2002, dubbed "Garth Life," will feature Brooks amid everyday life in Oklahoma.
McGrath, the Black Eyed Peas, and Thalia join the Dr Pepper crusade in 2002, performing tributes to music legends such as Buddy Holly (McGrath), Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong (Black Eyed Peas), and Tito Puente (Thalia).
